Care at every stage of life.

From a young woman's first consultation through preventive care, pregnancy and birth to mid-life — our spectrum grows with the questions you bring. Areas of focus for Dr. Raab and Dr. Katsares are marked.

Our preventive care concept

What is on your mind right now? What feels out of balance? Do you feel at home in your body?

Wishes and needs change over time. Our aim is to accompany you through that change. Cancer screening helps detect cervical, breast, skin and bowel cancer early. We take the time to interpret findings carefully and answer your questions.

On request we extend statutory screening with services that give you a deeper picture — for example high-resolution breast ultrasound, extended HPV diagnostics or in-depth hormone counselling.

Teen consultations

Coming to a gynaecologist for the first time? We take the worry out of it — and take time for your questions.

Conversation comes first. A gynaecological examination is often not necessary at this stage and is only carried out with your consent. Topics may include puberty, the menstrual cycle, contraception, the pill, first sex and vaccinations (HPV).

You are welcome to bring your mother, your best friend or your boyfriend along to your first visit.

Breast diagnostics & treatment

A key area of our practice: careful assessment of breast changes — from ultrasound through to surgical care.

The spectrum ranges from high-resolution breast ultrasound, through tissue sampling where needed, to surgical treatment. We are happy to take time for your questions if, for example, you have particularly dense breast tissue (mastopathy), notice that your breasts feel different at certain points in your cycle, or are concerned because a family member has had breast cancer.

We also advise on cosmetic concerns — for instance after breastfeeding or significant weight loss — and refer to specialised colleagues where appropriate.

Surgery is performed by Dr. Raab at the Wolfartklinik in Gräfelfing. Scheduling is handled from our practice.

Pregnancy & birth

Few stages change life as profoundly as pregnancy and the birth of a child.

We accompany you from your first prenatal check, through detailed ultrasound diagnostics, to birth planning. We pay particular attention to high-risk pregnancies — Dr. Katsares brings experience from the high-risk clinic at the Charité and at Klinikum Bremen Mitte.

Mixed feelings at the start of pregnancy are completely normal — we are happy to talk about them whenever you want to.

Urinary incontinence and prolapse

Roughly one in three women over 50 is affected by some form of urinary leakage — many in silence. You don't have to be.

There are three main forms: stress incontinence (leakage on coughing, sneezing or laughing), urge incontinence (sudden, hard-to-control need to urinate), and mixed forms. Prolapse — a descent of the womb, bladder or rectum — may also occur.

We discuss conservative options with you discreetly and competently (pelvic floor training, pessary therapy, local hormones) and refer to experienced surgeons where surgery is required.

Trying to conceive

When pregnancy doesn't come quickly, the question is fair: is this still normal — or is there a reason?

Compared with many mammals, we humans are among the less "fertile" species — even at the right time and place, the chance of conceiving in any given cycle is only 20–30 %. Even so, couples without restrictions on fertility almost always conceive within a year.

We discuss possible causes, coordinate the diagnostic steps and, where appropriate, refer to reproductive medicine centres.

Mid-life — taking new paths

At mid-life, many of us look back and ask what comes next: hormonally, physically, professionally and in our relationships.

Periods become irregular or stop, weight responds differently, sleep grows fragile. We listen, frame what's happening and advise individually — from a watchful approach through hormone replacement therapy to complementary paths.

This phase need not be a loss. It is often an invitation to re-sort what really matters to you.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the pillars of Traditional Chinese Medicine — gentle, individual, well-researched.

Fine needles placed at specific points on the skin can ease a wide range of complaints. In gynaecology and obstetrics it is particularly well established for: pregnancy-related symptoms, birth preparation, hot flashes and sleep disturbances during menopause, and cycle-related complaints.

TCM understands itself as a regulating therapy. The point isn't textbook stimulation, but treatment tailored to you and your current state.
